13 million investment in Jscrambler
The development of cybersecurity products for mobile and internet applications was worth an investment of 13 million euros to Jscrambler. The A funding series for the Portuguese technology company was announced this Thursday and was led by French venture capital firm Ace Capital Partners, accompanied by Portuguese companies Portugal Ventures and Sonae IM.
The capital injection will serve to strengthen the marketing and sales areas in Europe and the United States. The amount will also speed up product development.
The announcement of the operation also coincides with the entry of specialist Pedro Abreu to the administration of Jscrambler, after working at cybersecurity companies such as McAfee and Forescout.
Founded in Porto in 2014, Jscrambler currently has a team of 40 people. The previous capital investment, in the seed funding round, had yielded 2.3 million dollars (1.96 million euros, at the current exchange rate).
The series A funding of the Portuguese company takes place in a year marked by an increase in attacks on computer systems distribution companies. Attackers steal confidential data from users for malicious purposes. Jscrambler's solution prevents hackers from gaining access to sensitive information.
