Euronext expands operations in Porto with 200 hires and office relocation

Porto Leading Investor Euronext, a stock exchange manager, will continue to expand its operations and headcount in Porto, where it currently employs a total of 350 people. The company will also relocate to the city centre in order to accommodate the planned expansion, with the aim of hiring another two hundred employees over the next three years.

"The decision to move to a new building is due to the significant growth of the teams in Porto, which currently exceed 350 employees and are expected to expand in the coming years,’ an official Euronext source told ECO. With the new building still being remodelled, Euronext expects to be able to move into the new premises during the second half of 2025.

The bulk of the two hundred new hires will be for Euronext's technology centre - Euronext Technologies -, a strategic facility for the company and one of its biggest bets. Since it was transferred to Porto, the technology centre has added several new services (cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and employee services), and witnessed its number of employees grow from 70 to more than 280.

Euronext is currently established in 18 countries. In Portugal it has teams in both Porto and Lisbon, with the country currently representing Euronext's third largest location in terms of employee headcount (more than 12 per cent of the total amount). Portugal is also one of the countries where the group has been hiring the most.
