The City of Porto was an honoured guest at the second Green Growth Show, in Vietnam
The Municipality of Porto participated in the second Green Growth Show in Ho Chi Minh City, an initiative aligned with the city’s fifth economic forum.
As an honoured guest city, Porto was present at the second Green Growth Show (GRECO 2024) in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring an exhibition space offered by the Vietnamese city's Trade and Investment Promotion Agency.
During the event, public and private initiatives aimed at reaching carbon neutrality in the city by 2030 were promoted, as well as activities related to attracting investment and supporting businesses through InvestPorto. In addition, VisitPorto highlighted its projects, reinforcing Porto's position as a leading international destination. Ricardo Valente, Porto's City Councillor for Economy, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, was present at the event.
GRECO 2024 presented a valuable opportunity to promote Porto internationally as a destination for foreign direct investment and tourism. The event brought together companies from various countries, offering innovative solutions in the context of the green economy, circular economy, and sustainable economic development.
Representatives of the Vietnamese government, leaders from over 50 cities and international organisations, diplomatic and consular missions, and national and international experts from various fields also attended the event. With an exhibition area of approximately 10,000 square metres, more than 200 exhibitors, and over 8,000 products and services on display, GRECO 2024 attracted around 100,000 participants.
