SWitCH Dev is a specialised course in the field of programming created by Porto Tech Hub in partnership with Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Designed for those who aspire to a professional future in the field or those seeking a change in their career path, the programme has already requalified over 350 specialists. No prior training or experience in the sector is required to enrol, only a completed bachelor's degree in any field of study and B2 level English proficiency.

Upon completion of the programme, students with a positive evaluation have the opportunity to enter a paid internship with one of Porto Tech Hub's partner companies. Additionally, these professionals are qualified to intern at any company in the sector, so entities interested in integrating new interns and assisting in their transition to the technology market can contact Porto Tech Hub.

The professionals requalified by the SWitCH Dev course possess crucial tools for easily adapting to the daily rhythm of a specialist in the sector. In addition to promoting knowledge sharing through workshops, presentations, and practical projects facilitated by Porto Tech Hub's associated companies, students benefit from a diverse educational programme. The course focuses on interactive learning methods in six main areas: software engineering and programming, methodologies, supporting tools and techniques, and agile development of software solutions in a business context.

The postgraduate course lasts for one year and returns in October 2024 for a new edition, taught in person at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Interested parties can apply through the Porto Tech Hub website until 2 July.
