Portuguese startup DocBay recently won Consumer's Choice's (Escolha do Consumidor) Best tech experience category.
The company won the award for its innovative platform and app DocBox, that connects healthcare professionals and patients in a faster, more practical, and more personal way. By subscribing to a DocBox pack with a healthcare professional, users have access to a chat and minutes of video calls with that professional, such as a pediatrician, a general practitioner, a psychologist, a nutritionist, or a nurse.
With this platform, DocBay believes that it can bring about a change in the way people reach out to health professionals, avoiding unnecessary trips to the hospital, by looking at healthcare in a preventive way.
