Porto Tech Hub opens applications for SWitCH Embedded specialisation programme
Porto Tech Hub is accepting applications for SWitCH Embedded, an advanced programme focused on embedded computational systems and market-driven skills
Porto Tech Hub has announced the opening of applications for SWitCH Embedded, an advanced specialisation programme focused on the development of Embedded Computational Systems. The initiative aims to address the growing demand for highly skilled professionals in this field by combining solid theoretical foundations with a strong practical component.
The programme is open to professionals with academic backgrounds in Information Technologies, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas, as well as candidates without a higher education degree who can demonstrate relevant training or professional experience. According to Porto Tech Hub, the course is designed to respond directly to labour market needs, particularly in sectors such as industry, mobility and the Internet of Things.
Eduardo Sousa, Vice-President of Porto Tech Hub, highlights that the increasing adoption of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in embedded systems is driving demand for specialised talent. The programme seeks to prepare participants to tackle real-world challenges and work with emerging technologies, strengthening the connection between training and the concrete needs of companies.
SWitCH Embedded runs over two semesters in an after-work format, with a maximum of 20 students per cohort and a weekly workload of 12 hours, split between online and in-person classes. Applications are open until 25 January, and the programme is scheduled to begin on 23 February.
