Porto Leading Investor Rows Joins Superhuman
Superhuman expands into Portugal by acquiring Portuguese startup Rows, keeping the Northern Portugal team and opening offices in Porto
Superhuman, a leading productivity software company, has acquired Rows, marking its first operations in Portugal. Founded in 2017 by Humberto Ayres Pereira and Torben Schulz, the Porto Leading Investor offers AI-powered spreadsheet tools used by around 2.2 million users, mainly in the US.
Humberto Ayres Pereira will continue with the company, overseeing the Rows team as they work on data and productivity solutions with AI applications. The existing team of over a dozen employees in Northern Portugal will remain in place, ensuring continuity in expertise and operations.
Superhuman already operates multiple European teams in Ukraine, Poland, and Germany, and the Porto office highlights Portugal’s talent and the growing recognition of the country in the tech sector. The financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
Since its inception, Rows had raised approximately €30 million, including a €9 million funding round in August 2024, led by Indico Capital and featuring investors such as Cherry Ventures, Accel, Lakestar, and Armilar Venture Partners.
This acquisition further expands Superhuman’s footprint in AI-driven software solutions. Establishing Porto as a new hub for Superhuman highlights the city’s growing role in Europe’s tech and AI ecosystem.
