Porto Leading Investor FinTrU has promoted local job creation and attracted investment
The company's delivery centre in Porto has already contributed towards the creation of more than 220 highly-qualified jobs in the city

Last week, Rui Moreira, Mayor of Porto, visited FinTrU's local premises on Rua de Santa Catarina. The Mayor underlined the contribution that FinTrU has made to the city in terms of creating local highly-qualified jobs.
Founded in 2013 in Belfast, the Porto Leading Investor set up its local delivery centre over two years ago, with a focus on the development of technological solutions that help investment banks comply with different legal and regulatory obligations around the world. Having already hired over 220 people, FinTrU plans on reaching a local headcount of 500 in 2028.
Rui Moreira had the opportunity to learn about the company's future projects, signaling the active and continuous role played by the City Council in monitoring several businesses established in the city, with a view towards their local expansion. "The involvement and collaboration of the City Council was decisive for the success of FinTrU's set-up in Porto. The support provided has allowed FinTrU to focus on its development and growth,” said the company's leader in Portugal, Telmo Fernandes.

According to FinTrU, the company's expansion to Porto has allowed it to strengthen its global operations and create mobility opportunities for its employees. The talent available on the local market, combined with the city's quality of teaching, has allowed FinTrU to create a delivery centre that works directly for clients all over the world.
With offices in Portugal, Northern Ireland, England, the Republic of Ireland, and the United States, the company currently has a total of around 1,500 employees.
