Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport was praised for its organisation and short wait times
Porto's Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport was recently rated by users as Europe’s second-best in 2025.
The conclusion comes from Holidu, a holiday home booking platform. The ranking, based on the opinions of users of European airports, shows that Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is considered the second-best in Europe, only surpassed by Istanbul Airport.
According to Holidu, Porto Airport received an average rating of 4.4 stars. The evaluation, based on over 30,000 user reviews left on Google Maps, highlights the airport’s well-organised spaces and short waiting times. "Multiple check-in counters and a fast-track security queue help reduce waiting times and ensure a good experience," according to Holidu.
The ranking, with a total of 25 international airports, also placed Helsinki Airport (Finland) in third place, followed by Athens International Airport (Greece) and Zurich Airport (Switzerland) in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is the only airport in Portugal to feature in this top 25.
