Greater Porto highlights its potential in the Netherlands
The Greater Porto region, which involves the municipalities of Porto, Matosinhos and Gaia, showcased its innovation potential at the event that happened between the 5th and 7th of June in Rotterdam.

Greater Porto’s presence at an event discussing the challenges and changes needed to build the future of cities was almost obligatory, given the region’s dynamic nature on both national and international levels.
Urban Future, which took place in Rotterdam this year, brought together thousands of CityChangers to exchange ideas on how they are transforming cities. This event featured a sharing of successes and addressed mistakes made, aiming to accelerate change and successfully shape the future of cities.
Activists, influencers, and leaders representing fields such as urban planning, architecture, mobility, energy, real estate, housing, technology, and public administration gathered in a collaborative and change-driven atmosphere.
The Urban Future also hosts the Young Leaders programme, aimed at individuals under 30 who aspire to positively change the future of cities.
Greater Porto is a disruptive network of three major cities that collaborate to create an ecosystem of opportunities in a region aiming to position itself as a knowledge hub, an innovation cluster, and an investment destination.
