Blip wins British Foreign Trade Award

Blip is a technology company located in Porto that produces bespoke web and mobile software, and was one of the companies awarded the Overseas Direct Investment Award, promoted by the UK Department for International Trade (DIT).
The award, which recognizes and values the promotion of good business and investment relations between Portugal and the United Kingdom, was awarded at the 11th edition of the DIT Business Awards.
"We are honored with this recognition, which is a reflection of the effort and dedication our team delivers to work. It is also the result of a close relationship that Porto-born and raised Blip has with its UK parent and many other markets around the world”, says Hélder Costa, Head of Technology at Blip.
The Overseas Direct Investment Award highlights the work done by companies headquartered in one country, but whose activity and investment focuses on other markets, such as Blip.
The company, founded in Portugal, employs around 310 people, and is responsible for the management and technological development of online gaming platforms in 120 countries and used by more than six million customers of the various brands of the multinational Paddy Power Betfair. The software developed in the city of Porto is one hundred percent exported, making Blip one of the leading tech hubs on a global scale.
