Aviludo develops new logistics centre in the Porto Metropolitan Area
The company's new logistics hub will enhance delivery speed, optimize costs, and expand Aviludo's presence in Northern Portugal
Recently, Aviludo announced the development of a new logistics centre in Maia, located in the Porto Metropolitan Area. With a total area of 10,500 sqm. and a completion deadline of 12 months, the project is part of the growth strategy of the food distribution specialist.
This investment will strengthen Aviludo's response capacity in Northern Portugal, allowing it to benefit from a proximity to the main road networks of Greater Porto. The new unit is also designed to reduce transport times, optimise costs, and ensure faster and more reliable deliveries.
The logistics centre has been designed in accordance with the highest standards of food safety and operational efficiency, including 2,400 sqm. of frozen food storage, 2,000 sqm. of cold storage, 1,800 sqm. of ambient temperature warehouse, and a space of 1,200 sqm. for administrative and social areas. The building will also have independent thermal management by zone, 6 loading bays for lorries, 11 bays for vans, and parking for 140 light vehicles.
With this investment, Aviludo is strengthening its logistics network and consolidating its position as a benchmark in the professional food distribution sector.
