OPOLAB

OPO'Lab is a multidisciplinary centre and the first FabLab created in Portugal (2010) dedicated to thinking about and exploring the creative use of new technologies in architecture, engineering and design, promoting research, the development of equipment, new materials and solutions in the field of sustainability.

OPO'Lab created Precious Plastic Portugal with the aim of manufacturing professional plastic recycling equipment (having been the world's leading distributor), developing moulds, training and awareness-raising activities. It stood out with the Replay project - winner of a 1st New European Bauhaus 2022 award - whose mission is to remove the 30 million or so toys that end up in landfill every year.
