Powerdot, a leader in electric car charging solutions, has just strengthened its presence in Porto with a new innovation centre. Powerlab, a hub dedicated to the development and testing of state-of-the-art charging technologies, received an investment of around €500,000.

With an extensive network of charging points across the country, the company is now opening this new space in Porto, which will not only serve as a base for innovative solutions but also play a strategic role in collecting data on user behaviour and equipment performance. From this centre, Powerdot intends to accelerate its expansion into the rest of Europe.

José Sacadura, General Manager of Powerdot in Portugal, points out that Powerlab "is where we test solutions that not only increase efficiency but also provide a premium experience for electric vehicle drivers." The hub is thus an essential pillar for the future growth of the company, which already has 120 employees in Portugal and a total of 200 across Europe.

In addition, Powerdot's product teams remain centralised in Porto, reinforcing the importance of the local ecosystem for the company's innovation and international expansion. With the aim of continuing to lead the electric vehicle charging market, Powerdot is already present in thousands of commercial locations across Europe.
