The scientific event has goals such as contributing to the scientific training of the students, fostering research and discussion of works, stimulating international dialogue and disclosing the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Porto.
The Opening Session, which took place yesterday, at the Auditorium of the Medical Research Centre at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), featured the Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Commerce, Ricardo Valente, among several interventions by prominent names belonging to the biomedical area, both national and international.
Among them, was the Israeli Ada Yonath, Nobel Prize in Chemistry, in 2009.
