Intellias - Intelligent Chess Challenge

Intellias, a global software engineering and digital consultancy company, has announced the launch of the Intelligent Chess Challenge, the first-ever worldwide chess tournament for technology professionals to be held in the metaverse. Taking place on 15 – 16 November 2025, the event will bring together 1,000 participants from Europe, Asia, and the Americas for two days of strategic competition.

Inspired by the shared principles of chess and technology — logic, reasoning, and strategic thinking — the tournament embodies the spirit of innovation and artificial intelligence that defines today’s tech community. The 2025 edition marks the 11th anniversary of Intellias’ chess tournament, expanding from an internal initiative to a global virtual event.

The competition will unfold in two stages: the first, hosted on Chess.com, will determine the top 120 players who will then compete in the metaverse for the final rounds. Entry is free and open to professionals across all areas of the tech industry, including engineering, HR, marketing, and management.

Winners will receive Amazon gift cards — $500 for the champion and $250 for each finalist. Registration is open until 6 November 2025, and Intellias invites chess and technology enthusiasts alike to join this global celebration of strategy and innovation.
